Iftars You Must Try This Ramadan

After being invited to many Iftar previews pre-Ramadan, we were fortunate enough to go along to preview the delicious dishes on offer at the beautifully-located Emirati restaurant Seven Sands, along the water’s edge of The Beach, JBR. Joined by our favourite blogger friends, we had a lovely evening sampling the divine menu items while taking the opportunity to catch up with one another. See below for our recommendations!

Seven Sands

Location: The Beach, JBR

As expected, Seven Sands did not disappoint. We were lucky enough to try a huge variety from their buffet, including Shorbat Harees for starters, Lamb Okra, King Fish Machbous and Chicken Margougah for mains, and their simply sensational Date Pudding for dessert! A huge thank you to Kris Audrick for capturing the great photos from our night.

If, like us, you’re also on the lookout for other great Iftar locations, we have some alternative options in Dubai for you (all in your ENTERTAINER, may we add):

Location: Sheraton Grand Hotel

With cuisines from the West, Middle East, India, China and South East Asia, Feast offers fabulous flavours from all around the world. Discover their open kitchen and bring along your family, friends or colleagues while you dine in the the warm, friendly atmosphere. Their ‘fresh from the market approach’ ensures one of the tastiest Iftar experiences, 2 for 1 on your ENTERTAINER!

Another one that must be mentioned – and an ENTERTAINER Iftar favourite last year – is popular spot QD’s, which offers a chilled vibe alongside an uninterrupted spectacular setting! Overlooking Dubai Creek and skyline, you will be able to watch the sun set while enjoying an array of international cuisine, as well as some Middle Eastern delights.

South African

Great British Restaurant

Location: Palm Jumeirah

The best of British… Think hearty roasts and hot pots, with sticky toffee pudding for dessert. This stylish location boasts a clean-cut, classic and contemporary interior, further highlighted by the royal blue colour theme, and photos of royalty adorning the walls.

And not to worry Abu Dhabi, we haven’t forgotten about you…

Location: Saadiyat Beach Club

One to enjoy with a large group of friends, Safina delivers exceptional Mediterranean cuisine. Three of our favourites here at The ENTERTAINER? 1. Spicy Coconut Fish Curry 2. Beetroot Gnocchi 3. Chili Garlic Prawns. Safina delivers fine dining at its best.

After entering the sleek hotel, you’ll feel nothing less than royalty, and after walking in to Flavours and seeing the extensive selection on offer, you’ll feel a whole lot more special!
