Have you guys heard of the Bimmah Sinkhole? You’ll find this beautiful water-filled depression between the coastal towns of Dibab and Bimmah. The calm turquoise waters and peaceful surroundings of this sinkhole will send you on a sensory overload. Omanis believe that this sinkhole was created by a meteorite, even though it was a result of dissolution from underlying limestones. As a preservation effort, the municipality of Oman has constructed a park around this sinkhole, with a stairway leading to the lake. How cool is that?

Wadis

Home to some of the most beautiful valleys (wadis), outdoor lovers can make the most of Oman by exploring a different wadi in every city! Fancy a dreamy oasis? The most spectacular wadis in Oman is the Wadi Bani Khalid, Wadi Shab and Wadi Tawi – filled with blue lakes, stunning waterfalls, rocky surfaces and green plantations. For a more secluded spot, check out Wadi Damm and get blown away by the moss curtains and crystal clear waters! This hidden paradise in the middle east will take your breath away.

Ruins of Tunif
