EDITOR’S PICK

Breeze Beach Grill: Friday Brunch

Estimated Savings: AED495
Location: Club Vista Mare, Palm Jumeirah
Our Opinion: This is no ordinary beach shack. Ideally located at Club Vista Mare, Breeze Beach is a relaxed open space with endless surf vibes.  Serving up amazing sushi, grilled meats and classic favourites such as burgers, we can’t believe anyone wouldn’t like it here. On a Friday they put on a spread that is outrageously good with different counters acting as dedicated serving stations for its multitude of cuisines. There is a raw bar and an ice cream counter, plus a dedicated grill outside for that authentic beach BBQ feel.
Top Tip:
The sushi really is our go-to when we visit Breeze and when the weather is cool (like right now in the wonderful month of November), they open the floor-to-ceiling windows/doors for an indoor-outdoor atmosphere. It’s great at sunset to watch the sun disappear into the sea while listening to the waves.

MONTHLY OFFERS

Verve Bar & Brasserie: Friday Brunch

Estimated Savings: AED495
Location: Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City
Our Opinion: Verve Bar & Brasserie is a chic brasserie, featuring modern European cuisine with classic favourites and decadent tipples under the dynamic guidance of multi-award-winning chefs, Nick & Scott. It’s a nice little spot that has just popped up in the new Movenpick in Media City and it’s fast becoming a bit of a hot spot. So why not check it out this November?
Top Tip:
Work your way through the cocktail menu, Nick & Scott are famed for their liquid creations.

Joe’s Backyard: Friday or Saturday Brunch

Estimated Savings: AED395
Location: Holiday Inn Dubai Festival City
Our Opinion: With a braai measuring 2.5m, Joe’s Backyard offers the greatest hits of flame-grilled flavours from around the world, including South Africa and Australia. The laid-back ambience at the rooftop of Holiday Inn in Dubai Festival City boasts 360 views of Dubai skyline and it’s a brilliant place to kick back and let loose on a Friday.
Top Tip:
Ladies, don’t wear heels. The vibe is so chill and you’re going to want to dance afterwards.

NEW OFFERS

Laguna Waterpark: Admission or Exclusive Cabana Experience

Estimated Savings: AED145 or AED1100
Location: La Mer, Jumeirah
Our Opinion: If you’re a fan of waterparks (which frankly, in this climate, who isn’t?) you’re bound to have a jolly good time at Laguna with slides, various different pools, a lazy river (our favourite) and beach access. To add to the joy guests can even chill out in a fancy cabana, which is great to impress guests and make a real day of it, should you so choose.
Top Tip:
With four distinct zones, including Surf, Relax, Slide and Splash, it’s easy to navigate your way around and pick a base that best suits you. Want to snooze and read a book? Choose Relax zone. If you want a bit of excitement though, head to the Slide zone!

Poke & Co: Main Menu Item or Breakfast Menu Item

Estimated Savings: AED60 or AE360
Location: Dubai International Financial Centre
Our Opinion: Poké places are popping up everywhere now but we have taken a shine to Poké & Co because of their unique little twists to traditional poké bowls. They took the classic Hawaiian speciality poké and added alternatives to raw fish, including chicken, cooked salmon, cooked shrimp and tofu. You can also build-your-own bowl which allows some pretty funky combinations if you’re into that sort of thing…
Top Tip: The truffle ponzu sauce gets a massive thumbs up from us lot (yes we’re fancy, no we’re not sorry)!
